Life Will Go On

Song: “You made a way“ by Travis Greene

Philippians 3:13-14 King James Version (KJV)

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 43:18-19 King James Version (KJV)

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

In the book of Philippians Pauls writes a letter to the people. In this letter it is about life, the  love of Jesus, and giving all your cares to him. Paul  faced resistance in the city  because he was a follower of Jesus Christ . He wrote this letter while in prison. He wants to remind the people that your own story is a living version of Jesus.Paul even gives  examples of people in his letter and explains that true citizenship is in Heaven. We must vent our needs to God who will give you peace. It comes from what is good and true. A follower of Jesus knows that it’s all a gift. The times of hardship is a lesson.

In the book of Isaiah  God sent a  servant out to allow the other servants to know that they will  end up inheriting God’s kingdom but it will be for those who repent who will truly inherit the new Jerusalem. However, in the end of this book  everyone is welcomed to know about this new creation and accept God as their redeemer and will be able to receive all of his promises.

During this season we’re all experiencing the hard times up close in personal rather it’s Covid-19 or the recent death of George Floyd. This is not the first death that was caused by police brutality and with the topic “Life Will Go On” I question will you let things remain the same or work harder in your community ? I challenge you to:

  • Continue to fight for what is right

  • Pick up the pieces and make a change in your community

  • Allow life to go on but allow it to only move on if you’re putting in work for it

  • We can’t move forward and be silent

  • Don’t dwell on something and not force a better outcome in your personal life

You must move in the right direction. Life will always go on but you don’t have to be in the same position you were in before. You can’t stay in your current situation you have to move and move with  a purpose. Change only comes to those who want it. God wouldn’t bring you to it if he wasn’t going to bring you through it.
