Match Your Praise With Your Pain
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 KJV
Pauls writes a letter to the people of the Philippians. In this letter it is about life, the love of Jesus, and giving all your cares to him. Paul faced resistance in the city because he was a follower of Jesus Christ. He wrote this letter while in prison. He wanted to remind the people that your own story is a living version of Jesus. Paul tells us to vent our needs to God who will give us peace. It comes from what is good and true. A follower of Jesus knows that it’s all a gift and the times of hardship is a lesson.
My message for you today is to match your praise with the pain you’re enduring right now. In this season the praise will win. The praise outweighs the bad. It’ll help you not think about what’s going on in your life. Try praising God for everything that’s even wrong this week. Thank him and let him know that you are aware that something great will come out of it. Match your praise with your pain !!!
